Who We Are

Tread is operated by Tread Operator Systems LLC(“Tread,” “we,” or “us”). This policy covers the Tread iPhone app, the Tread web app, and the messages Tread sends to customers on behalf of the businesses that use it. Tread is a business tool: accounts are created by a business for its own staff, and there is no public sign-up.

Information We Collect

Tread may collect contact information, business information, job details, customer communication details, service notes, payment type records, receipt information, and proof photos that users choose to enter into the service.

For staff accounts, this includes your name, email address or username, phone number, role, and an account ID. Job records include customer names, phone numbers, and service addresses. When a business uses Tread for customer calls and texts, Tread stores those messages and may produce transcripts and automated summaries of them. We do not collect payment card numbers in the app; it only records how a customer paid.

The Tread iPhone App

Camera and photos. With your permission, the app uses the camera to take before, during, and after photos of tire work as job evidence. These photos are uploaded to Tread and attached to the job. You can also pick a photo from your library to attach; the app only receives the photos you choose and does not browse the rest of your library.

Location.With your permission, the app shares a technician’s precise location with their dispatch team and the customer only while the technician is on the way to a job. Location sharing stops when the job is no longer en route, and the app does not collect location at any other time. You can turn location access off in iOS Settings.

Notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so Apple can deliver job assignment, status, and message alerts. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings, and the app keeps working without them. The push token is linked to your account and is deactivated when you sign out.

On your device. The app keeps your sign-in session in the iOS Keychain and temporarily stores photos that are waiting to upload, so work is not lost without a signal. Queued photos are removed from the device once they upload. If you share crash and performance data with Apple, the app may keep a local copy of those diagnostic reports; they do not include job or customer data.

What the app does not do.The app does not show ads, does not sell your information, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide dispatch, job tracking, customer communication, receipt, review request, support, security, and product improvement features. We do not use it for advertising.

SMS Communications

By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS messages from Tread. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Message and data rates may apply.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate Tread, such as cloud hosting and database providers, calling and SMS delivery providers, AI providers that transcribe and summarize customer calls and messages, and Apple’s push notification service, and when needed to provide support or comply with legal obligations. Information you enter about a job is visible to the staff of the business that job belongs to.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with applicable law.

Your Choices and Account Deletion

You may request access, correction, or deletion of information by emailing support@treadmobile.com. SMS recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP.

To delete your Tread account, choose Request account deletion from the account menu in the app, or email support@treadmobile.com from the address on your account. We will confirm with your business administrator and delete your account and its personal information, except records the business or the law requires us to keep, such as completed job and receipt records.

Children

Tread is a business tool for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be shared with the businesses that use Tread.
